WELCOME

We're a group of neighbors who live near the SE side of Lake Merritt. Come Join our neighborhood group and be a part of the on-going solution that makes Oakland a wonderful city to call home!

Our three major areas of focus are:

  1. Any immediate safety issues
  2. Ongoing events in our hood that can effect positivechange and stimulate community interest/investment
  3. Healing the cause instead of treating the symptom- by connecting with perpertrators of local crime
We meet to discuss all topics related to living in our neighborhood as they fall into the above categories, but our discussion topics also include: City related improvements, Neighborhood Improvement via Art and/or Events, Outreach, Bridging/humanifying with people who have done negative things here, Neighborhood Watch/Safety, Urban Farming and more!

We meet every 3-4 weeks at 6:30pm alternating from Tuesdays to Sundays to accommodate most work schedules.

HOW WE OPERATE
We volunteer proactive, respectful, positive energy and resources towards the betterment of our diverse community. Everyone is asked to align within an area of concern and offer support and/or leadership as they see fit.

We strive to keep all goals determined collectively by group participation and are committed to improving our hood through the strong alignment of our members!
